This whole not being able to breathe properly thing is getting old fast.
We went and pretty much finished up Keegan’s Christmas shopping after the ultrasound today. We got him a crapload of stuff from the Discovery Center store (it’s a science center here)…stuff like gold mining, microscope slides, science kits, etc. We had gotten him a few of the small kits last Christmas and they were his favorite gifts so we got him more this year. We also hit up a locally owned bookstore and got him a bunch of books. I just need to get him some sticking stuffers and maybe a wrestler figure and then he’s done ;). I’m usually done shopping by Dec 1 but this year has been tight money wise so we have had to push back our shopping a bit. Oh well, I’m just glad we got him taken care of now :).
She’s snug as a bug in my tummy, and is apparently very happy in there (so all those kicks that I thought were indications of displeasure were actually happy ones lol).
She is also weighing in over 4lbs already!!! Based on my dates, she should be just shy of 3lbs but I apparently grow monster babies lol
She’s was down already which is good in case she tries to come before my c section date. And even though the ultrasound tech couldn’t tell us much, she did confirm that she’s still a girl (lol I had to ask) and all looks good.
Back to the dr tomorrow for my reg appt and a quick meeting with the surgeon to discuss the ultrasound.
What makes me feel so relieved is that if at this point, I were to go into labour early, she has a 95% chance of being completely ok, based on her size and development. That’s a big relief :)
What sort of funky brush-out technique are you using, if the belly (kisses!) is messing up your brushing? I did love short hair when the kids were littles, though, I can’t lie.
LOL My hair is really long now, and so I have to flip it over to get the underneath and back fully brushed. And the belly makes it really uncomfortable to do that standing up, and almost impossible to do sitting down lol My hair is more high maintenance when its short, because of the curls, I tried that when Keegan was a babe, and it wasnt pretty lol So I am sticking with long this time, just going to make an appointment to get a few inches cut off so its not SO long.
My mom just called…..my great aunt, who is my grandmothers sister, has lung cancer. They thought she was doing better, because the tumor on her one lung was shrinking. But then they found another tumor on the other lung, and its growing fast. Its pushing on an artery and the doctors have basically given her days to weeks…..because as the tumor pushes, the artery is going to burst, and that is going to kill her.
Can you all send out a prayer or a positive thought or something that she makes it through one last Christmas with her family? And that when it it her time, its fast and painless?
We just did this 5 years ago with my grandmother……pushed for that one last Christmas….and now her sister……Stupid fucking cancer!!!!!!!!!!
I just spent close to an hour, and over half a bottle of detangler, getting the knots and mattes out of my damn hair, thanks to my own stupidity of wearing my hair up all the time and not making sure it was fully brushed out when I would wash it. Argh. I do this all the time and every time I swear I am not going to do it again. But of course I do. But now it’s waaaaaay too hard to brush out alone because of ze belleh so I’m either gonna have to stick to my whole “never again” mantra or have nasty mattes hair til after the baby comes. Which do you think I choose?
